This home sleep test is worn for one night. It does not need to be sent back to us.
The device connects to your smartphone and sends us the data electronically via an app (available to download from Google Play here or iStore here).
This means the data gets to one of our sleep specialists as soon as the test is completed. If you don’t have a smartphone, it’s no problem, just contact us here and we can arrange an alternative.
To discuss payment through medical insurance please email info@thebettersleepclinic.co.uk.
Our home sleep tests are carried out in the comfort of your home and will tell you if you have Obstructive Sleep Apnea.
The results of your test will be analysed by sleep experts trained by the NHS who will provide you with your report and diagnosis within two working days.
Please contact us if you would like to discuss payment through medical insurance.
What is the Home Sleep Test?
-
Obstructive sleep apnea is a serious condition. 85% of people who have it are undiagnosed.
Our home sleep tests provide a quick, convenient and affordable way to have sleep apnea confirmed.
-
These are small watch-like devices that are worn on your wrist overnight. This is cutting-edge technology that gives extraordinarily detailed information on your sleep - which is a fascinating thing to uncover, and a vital step in the diagnosis of obstructive sleep apnea.
-
The home sleep test measures a number of different things:
Blood oxygen levels
Heart rate
Activity of your nervous system (called peripheral arterial tone, or PAT)
Movement (known as actigraphy)
Snoring pattern and volume
Chest movement and breathing effort
Body position
-
Our home sleep tests include free delivery. They are dispatched the same day if ordered before 12pm.

This information is put together to decide whether your body is going through repeated episodes of stopped breathing, or other changes associated with different sleep disorders. This is in addition to the fascinating details on your nightly sleep architecture including the amount of time spent in the different stages of REM and non-REM sleep (also known as light, deep and dreaming sleep).
