Sleep Performance Program for Elite Athletes
Sleep Optimisation for Athletes
We work with elite sport and high-performance athletes at team level and through one-to-one. We help athletes understand their sleep and the behaviours that influence this. We get athletes sleeping better as a way to optimise their performance
Sleep Optimisation for Athletic Performance and Wellbeing Course
This online course is aimed at personal trainers and coaches. It is designed to teach the foundations of sleep and the way that it impacts fitness, athletic performance and wellbeing.
The triad of fitness is training, nutrition and sleep. All three areas need to be worked on together in order to optimise health, fitness and performance. Covering two areas, but leaving one undeveloped means progress is hard to achieve.
This course enables you to understand sleep and develop a practical and actionable approach to improving your client’s sleep - and therefore their performance, recovery and wellbeing.
Led by Dr David Garley and Dr Luke Gupta, you will learn the scientific backdrop to sleep and how this impacts health and fitness. You will learn how to identify the sleep disorders that are common in athletes, such as insomnia and obstructive sleep apnea. You will cover the role of wearable-tech, and learn practical and evidence-based techniques for optimising your client’s sleep.

Sleep is a vital component of elite sport which affects four core areas;
The high-pressure environment of modern elite sports can disrupt sleep and impact the performance, recovery, and mental health of athletes. Focused and specialist support is needed to address sleep in this unique context and maintain a level of sleep health that allows high performance to continue.
We know the unique pressures faced by elite athletes. We work in partnership with support teams to operationalise and embed an approach to sleep within their current sports science and medical practices.
A one-stop shop
As well as specialist knowledge of sleep medicine applied to elite sports and performance, our clinic team also includes sleep medicine consultants, insomnia specialists and sleep scientists. We know it doesn’t make sense to use multiple sleep consultants - one to manage performance, another for treatment of sleep disorders and a third to run diagnostics. We have the clinical depth to provide all your sleep support in-house.
